More game time. More Footy fun!

Ready for more footy?

Let's play!

Superkick is a fun, modified AFL program for children aged 7 to 12, designed to help young players build their skills, confidence and love of the game through more time playing footy. It's the perfect next step for kids moving on from Auskick, or a great place to start for children who are new to the game.

With small teams, modified rules and no tackling, Superkick gives every child the chance to get involved, try new things and enjoy playing footy with their mates.

Based at Alan Davidson Oval, Sydney Park

What does a week of Superkick look like?

Training

Our Auskick/Superkick teams train once a week at Alan Davidson Oval in Sydney Park.

Training takes place on Wednesday nights, with schedules confirmed each season.

Game Day

Superkick runs as a season from March to August, with games played on smaller fields with smaller teams.

Some weeks we’re at home, other weeks we’re on the road, so families should expect a mix of home and away travel throughout the season.

Get Involved

Everyone plays a part!

Superkick is all about having fun, making friends and being part of the Newtown Swans community.n Families are encouraged to get involved, whether that's helping with activities, cheering from the sidelines or lending a hand when needed.

What is Superkick?

Superkick is the transition from Auskick to Juniors for children turning 7 years old.

It's designed for kids who are ready for more game time, with modified matches that let them experience the excitement of playing footy without the pressure of full-contact competition.

MORE GAME TIME

Superkick is all about playing! Modified matches give kids plenty of opportunities to kick, mark, handball and enjoy the game.

SMALL-SIDED GAMES

Games are played with smaller teams of around 10 players on smaller fields, helping every child stay involved and get more touches of the footy.

NO TACKLING

Superkick uses modified, tackle-free rules, with one-handed tagging instead of tackling. Kids can enjoy the excitement of match play while continuing to build their confidence.

learn through play

Kids develop their skills, teamwork and understanding of the game by playing it. It's a fun, supportive way to prepare for the next stage of junior footy.

The Next Step in Their Footy Journey!

For our little Swannies who've already enjoyed Auskick, Superkick is a great way to keep the fun going as they grow.

With more time spent playing matches, kids can put their skills into action, build confidence and experience what it's like to be part of a team.

Superkick is designed to welcome new players as well as returning Auskickers, with modified rules and a friendly environment that helps everyone feel included.

Whether it's their first kick or their next big step, there's a place for them at the Newtown Swans.
